Can you imagine missing three fall seasons?! No crunchy leaves, no color, no cozy cardigans, no crisp air, questionable pumpkin spice lattes, no apple orchards, no hay rides, no scarves, no pumpkin farms. Need I say more? I know, poor me missed autumn to live on a tropical island. Words can’t describe to you how refreshed I feel with the change of season.
I think we all agree to keep fall and get rid of winter. Winter has a mean way of sneaking up behind us. It’s like BAM in a blink of an eye we have short gray days and long frigid-to-the-bone nights. There’s nothing sexy about flaky lips and dry everything. This is when I close my eyes and click my heels together three times and say ‘There’s no place like home’ and VOILA, I’m in Okinawa again! Back to a subtropical paradise. The coldest tempurature in Okinawa is 60 Fahrenheit degrees. Rainy season is April- June, Typhoon season is June- November, hot and humid season is July- October. The heat is intense, but your body acclimates. The key is drinking water daily by the gallon. I never once fell ill on island, my skin always moisturized and glowed, and my body naturally happy on Vitamin D.
Just this autumn season a year since returning from island I felt this motivational high so to speak. With the leaves changing color so did my mind for innovation. Hence the start of this blog. A most memorable autumn season yet. I’m a hairstylist and love to see my clients smile at their own reflection in the mirror. My job is complete when I’ve given my client a boost in confidence about their appearance. This journey we call life is so special. I want so badly to motivate you to not just love your hair because I did it 😉 but to really love your bodies and have long lasting energy. Lets get to it- healthy eating, exercising, and being totally chic!
