Learn To Enjoy The Process

Today is a lazy day. A sunbathing and flipping through magazines kind of afternoon. I cherish every relaxing minute under the sun. Even more so now that I’m working at the salon full time.

In People Magazine, I’m reading The Secrets To A Celebrity Body. To name a few of the celebs who revealed their healthy lifestyle are Kate Hudson, Tyra Banks, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Hudson, Carrie Underwood, and Sofia Vergara. Each interview had a recurring theme to commit to a form of exercise you enjoy, eat a nutritionally rich diet, and indulge in moderation. Kate Hudson struck a cord with me when she said, “I think we’ve put so much focus on the results that everybody is forgetting to enjoy the process. Simplicity, accessibility, positively, and throwing the idea of ‘perfection’ out the window.”
The secret to healthy living is no secret at all! It’s the most simple concept to live by. Stop spending your money on fancy protein powder and start eating foods rich in protein. Stop wasting your time on a body pump class you dislike and try a new activity you might love. To achieve greatness, you must practice consistency.
I never said it would be easy. I started my blog to hold myself accountable. Being consistently fit and healthy is a tough lifestyle. I strongly emphasize that it’s okay to indulge here and there. It’s ok to skip a workout here and there. Quickly get back into the swing of it. The key to real success is to enjoy the process. Love your workout and love your food! The celebs are living proof. They look like they know a thing or two about this topic.
