On The Go Workout Challenge

Long time no talk! In case you haven’t noticed, but I’ve been out of the office for three weeks. When I say “out of the office” I mean I haven’t been in my pajamas blogging! A short month ago I received news of my husband and I relocating to Washington D.C.!!! Moving across the country sounds easy compared to our move from Japan just 18 months ago.
I spent the last two weeks searching for the perfect apartment in the D.C. metropolitan area. I was very fortunate and found the perfect little place in the perfect district! My tiny new gem of a place is in a quiet residential neighborhood, walking distance to cafes, grocery, boutique shops, and world-class restaurants and entertainment. I even have access to riverside paths I can run along. It’s a dream come true. I drove ALL over from Virginia to Maryland and more specifically to Reston, Alexandria Georgetown, Arlington, and Annapolis. I didn’t do much sightseeing, yet I at least got a taste of much of the region. I’m overwhelmed with excitement. 
Long story short, I completed my mission of finding a home in D.C., and now I’ve left my husband there on a blowup mattress and I’m back in Milwaukee preparing to move all of our things and finish my work at the salon. Our move is a bit backwards, yet I wouldn’t have it any other way. 
The hustle and bustle of life are taxing on our energy. Our energy craves daily moments of peace. Whether it be a relaxed trip or a busy trip, I find it difficult to workout. Discipline is out the window! While running from place to place I kept thinking to myself how wonderful it would be to have some workouts made up ahead of time. Catered workouts to where I’m temporarily staying.

On The Go Workout Challenge


Sunday- 3 Mile Run

Monday- Crossfit WOD (workout of the day)

Complete as many rounds as possible in 20 minutes of:
Run 400 meters (.25 mile)
20 GHD sit-ups- Video Demo
Overhead squats, 10 reps- Video Demo

Tuesday- 4 rounds for time:

1/2 mile run 

15 burpees- Video Demo

Wednesday- Crossfit WOD

Row 2,000 meters

For time:
135 pound Clean and Jerk, 30 reps- Video Demo

Thursday- Crossfit WOD

2 Mile Run 

Deadlift 1-1-1-1-1-1-1 reps- Video Demo

Friday- Crossfit WOD


4 rounds for time of:
Run 800 meters (1/2 mile)
49 push-ups
49 sit-ups
49 squats

Saturday- Off Day 🙂
