Workout Week: Back In The Groove

Well, folks, I was true to my word and had a successful week of clean eating! I finally kicked myself into gear. I’m a tough cookie to break. I think I have a very addictive personality because all my mental strength goes into breaking a bad habit. The key is to replace the bad habit with a good habit. For example, this past week I substituted my after dinner munchies with tea and an orange, or I just cut myself off completely. Sounds easy enough, although I was fighting myself on every good decision I was making.

I feel extra happy now that I got my groove back. I’m currently wrapped up in a blanket, sipping my morning coffee with collagen. I’m freezing from the AC blasting all night long. It’s hot as hell here in Virginia. Humid and high temps of ninety. I’m up early because I have so much yard work to do. Owning over an acre of land is no joke.
My husband and I have an outbuilding we can easily convert into a chicken coop. We are currently debating whether or not to adopt chickens. I love the thought of hens squawking along the yard. I read that chickens are very friendly and will perch on your lap if you let them! I’ve never eaten fresh farm eggs, but I hear the eggs are so much better tasting than the factory store bought eggs. My chickens are going to be the best fed, paleo eating birds! Chickens don’t just lay eggs, but they are like vacuums clearing everything in their paths like bugs and food scraps. I can even collect their poop for gardening to speed up the growing process! The only downside of owning chickens is replacing their coop material about every month or so which doesn’t sound like much work! I think I just talked myself into getting some chicks. I’m going to be a mama soon!
